Additional Information
John Lyman Blish received his early schooling in the grammar and high schools of Seymour, Indiana. He was a graduate of Philips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire, and of Yale University with the degree of B.A. While attending Yale he was a member of the Student Army Training Corps through December 1918. Upon his graduation he entered the employ of the Blish Milling Company of Seymour,Indiana. He served the company as treasurer and at the time of his death he was its president. He died of heart failure due to an attack of influenza. He is buried in Seymour at Riverview cemetery. He was also president of the Indiana Millers Association at the time of his death.
