Lillian Martha (Blish) Purmort at a young age

Lillian Martha (Blish) Purmort was educated in the State Normal School at Albany, New York and taught two terms at Jay, before her marriage, which occurred at the age of eighteen, in the same house in which her father was born. She is State Regent of the United States Daughters of 1812, and a member of the society of Mayflower descendents, Daugthers of the American Revolution, and other oganizations and an enthusiastic genealogist and historian. She is also interested in many local Charities and other good works and is a tireless worker.
